Celebrate Recovery Purpose People helping people to live victoriously through the power of Christ over their hurts, habits, and, hang-ups. Celebrate Recovery Vision: It is Celebrate Recoveries vision to minister to those who struggle with on going sin in their lives. Our intention is to reach those who are in disparate need of help. This approach forces us to the front lines of the battle between the flesh and the spirit. Our resulting goal is to lead people to the source of spiritual truth; disciplining them with the tools God gave us in His word to overcome our hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Victory through Christ is the prize. There are several ways we hope to accomplish the mission God has bestowed upon us:
- Through the power of God's word
Celebrate Recovery is ministry in which we base all our beliefs in the Holy Bible.
- Establishing a relationship with Christ
Each participant is encouraged to accept Jesus Christ as their savior, allowing Him to become Lord of their life. It’s our belief that Christ and Christ alone provide the victory. Our job is found in the commitment to do the footwork, otherwise known as the Twelve Steps.
- Fellowship events
CR provides a safe meeting place for men and women to fellowship with other recovering Christians. The resulting environment fosters the precious seeds of hope necessary to complete the various stages of recovery.
- Outreach opportunities<BR>It is our desire to bring this message of hope to others who struggle with hurts, habits and hang-ups in their lives. Sharing with them an effective way to experience the victory, joy, and freedom that we have found in relationship with Jesus Christ.
In order to increase the effectiveness of the ministry God has graciously given to us, we have committed to a plan of action that includes several phases we feel are essential to a successful ministry as a whole.
The phases are as follows: 1st We will identify and train up people committed to this process. These leaders will carry the hope of recovery found in Jesus Christ into the lives of others. Properly disciplining new people will enable us to pass the torch to the next generation of leaders.
2nd We will continue to reach out to others who may wish to participate in Celebrate Recovery. Sources for this mission field will include the church body and select organizations that are also involved in the recovery process. 3rd At this phase we actively carry the message of ministry to the community as a whole. It is our intention to increase the visibility of Celebrate Recovery through out our community. We welcome anyone who desires a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationship with God. That is our goal.
